To create a tactile interaction between art/design with the blind and visually impaired community To explore and nourish tactual perception, not only for the blind community yet also for the sighted community To bring meaning and excitement into darkness through tactual sensation Challenges The design/artwork should be tactually aesthetic yet visually pleasing as part of the notion of integrated design To think tactually rather than visually by constantly challenging the mind with a question; »If I were borne blind, how would I have designed and perceived this ‘object’ ?« To engage and incorporate the local culture into the design/artform To explore and utilise the available adaptive technology Artforms / mediums / disciplines Books, posters or any printed materials Architecture, public space, landscape or interior design Jewelry, fashion, textile Sculpture, signage or installation Anything… use your creative ideas Assessment / presentation Design concept, theory and philosophy Artwork, e.g. model, photos, video, etc.
